Antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD)
Taking into account the data available as of now, AAD can occur with frequency of up to 39% at people, who receive antibiotics. At the same time, diarrhea occurs approximately at 10-25% of patients, who took amoxicillin with clavulanate, at 15-20% of cefixime.(1)
Inulin reduced the negative effects when the beta-lactam antibiotic ampicillin was added after 30 hours, completely restoring the metabolic and taxonomic functions and the composition of representatives of the normal flora.(2)
